Black people, we have a lot of work to do and as Vanity points out, a lot of it has to do with unlearning the whiteness that has shaped our prejudiced society. In today's episode, I asked Vanity Reid Deterville to come on our show to talk to me about her transition in life as well as her work to uplift and fight for the Black members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I met Vanity way back at the beginning of my journey to build BossLocks and it just so happened that she was in the early stages of her transition. So it was only right that I asked her to be the first person on my platform to address the lack of support we've had for our brothers, sisters, and non-binary Black people in the LGBTQIA+ community.
